Maple and Ginger Biscuits Recipe

These biscuits are incredibly easy to make and absolutely delicious. They are delicately spiced with ginger and sweetened with our rich, Dark Robust Maple Syrup.

Makes about 10 biscuits.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C, fan 160C, Gas Mark 4 and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Beat the butter in a mixer until soft and light at a medium to high speed.
  3. Reduce the speed to medium and slowly add the maple syrup until combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl regularly to ensure even mixing.
  4. Add the dry ingredients, excluding the stem ginger, and fold in with a spatula.
  5. Form the dough into equal sized balls, about 10, then flatten with a fork.
  6. Place a piece of stem ginger in the centre of each biscuit and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until pale golden.
  7. Cool on a wire rack.
