These dark chocolate maple truffles are rich, velvety, and naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup.They make the perfect treat for someone special this Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients
- 225g dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 125 ml double cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup, Amber Rich
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Cocoa powder
Instructions
- Place the finely chopped chocolate in a heat proof bowl. Warm up the cream in a saucepan until it just starts to simmer. Pour the cream over the chocolate and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Add the butter, maple syrup and vanilla and stir until the chocolate is melted. Place in the fridge for about 2 hours until it sets. If it’s too soft leave it bit longer in the fridge.
- Portion out the chocolate into 10 small balls with a spoon and refridgerate for a further 30 minutes to dry out.
- Shape the truffles and coat them with cocoa powder.
