Pure Maple Tea Loaf Recipe

Take your tea loaf to the next level by adding our healthy and delicious, pure maple syrup. It’s yummy served with butter and, don’t forget the tea!


100g sultanas

100g currants

100g glacé cherries

50g dried apricots

350ml hot tea

2 eggs, beaten

270g self raising flour

150ml Pure Maple Syrup, Dark Robust

50g dark brown sugar


Begin this recipe the day before.

Rinse the glacé cherries and cut into quarters. Cut the apricots to a similar size and tip all the dried fruit in a large bowl and soak overnight in hot, black tea. (Any combination of fruit will be do.)

Line a 2lb loaf tin with greaseproof paper.

Preheat the oven, 180C.

The next day add the eggs, flour, maple syrup and sugar and combine. Pour into the loaf tin and bake for about 1 1/2 hours, until firm to touch but check after an 1 1/4 hours.

Leave to cool for about 15 minutes before transferring out onto a wire rack.
